Swindon Festival of Literature (SFOL) Accessibility Review

Matt Holland, Founder of the Swindon Festival of Literature (SFOL), has been organising and running this local, week-long literature festival with a dedicated committee for over thirty-two years.

Last year, Matt asked me how he could make the Festival more accessible for people with physical disabilities who attend or participate. He invited me to review the SFOL 2025 website and suggest ways the Festival could be more inclusive for disabled participants.

We decided to make small accessibility improvements for the 2025 Festival and use these changes as a foundation for further enhancements in future years. Our goal is to build on this work year by year, making SFOL increasingly accessible for all participants and stakeholders.

Today

Matt Holland and I will meet once again in the coming year to consider further additional steps we can take together to enhance the accessibility, inclusivity of his well respected Literature Festival.
